• THANK YOU DONORS!!
I'd like to personally thank everyone that participated in our first donor drive in years! We raised over double the amount that we set as a goal. You guys are awesome! This money helps to fuel much needed upgrades around here - and also includes monthly server costs and software licenses. We are excited for the future and your donations ensure that there will be a place to talk about George Mason basketball (among other things) for seasons to come! - The Management

Very cool

haven’t watched footage but verbal commits has him as a 3 star when he was coming out of high school. Noticed he also shoots 36.6 percent from deep.

also it’s pronounced Day-Vaughn so it’s good we are going back to getting a Vaughn on the team.

Grad transfer with 2 years of eligibility.

Didn’t even know we were in the mix on this guy, seems like he has solid numbers and should be a contributor.

I like his size for a SG (6'4 201), which means he could probably play either wing position for us.

So far, English is 2 out of 3 for positions I was hoping for (a guy who can play at the 4 spot -- D'Shawn Schwartz), a guy who can play either wing -- DeVon Cooper). Now we just need a big to round out the class.

p.s. and also rerecruit Miller, Oduro, and Kolek.

Glad we are finally getting some good consistent outside shooters. I always thought Holloway was a disappointment in that area.
Now someone will post some numbers to prove me wrong. I get that alot.:giggle:

Hate to break it to you but 99.99% this means Kolek is gone. Cooper is a SG and isn’t coming here to be a backup.

Keep Oduro and Miller to play alongside Schwartz and Cooper and it won’t matter where Kolek ends up — if we get anything from the PG spot that lineup is a significant improvement over the past season.

That's all right. If he doesn't come back he doesn't come back. In the meantime, I can dream about a Kolek, Cooper, Miller, Schwartz, Oduro lineup can't I?

Kolek is obviously much more polished but Polite is a much better fit in an up-tempo system that relies on high ball pressure defense. I think he’s going to really thrive under KE

Polite is so needed at the PG spot because as much as it’s great to have shooters, you also need a big and a PG. I hope he’s up for the challenge. I also really hope Oduro and Miller want to come back and be part of something special this year. My suspicion is Kolek is gone, but getting a guy with 2 years of eligibility is a nice bridge and gives English time to find who will take that spot.

Adding 2 experienced transfers also will allow Frazier and Henry to fill appropriate roles coming off the bench as they develop. This is how healthy programs operate.

I don’t understand, you mean you don’t throw freshmen into playing 30 minutes and burn them out? You let experienced guys handle the load and ease guys into it?

never heard of it. :ROFLMAO:

Yeah Schwartz is 230 and Cooper 201. Grad transfers with physical maturity and multiple years in Division I strength and conditioning programs. If those guys’ bodies break down next season it means we’re cursed.

Another very nice pick up. A little taller than the SGs we have had the previous few years which is nice

If we play four out and one in, with Oduro inside and Miller as an undersized 4, it is turning into a solid lineup.
