GIVING DAY 2023
New Commitment from 6'4/6'5 2025 Cristo Rey and Philadelphia based wing Devin Booker

Solid list of offers from mid majors and some high majors: https://verbalcommits.com/players/devin-booker3

Its nice to see us tap into the Philadelphia region and take a kid from St Joes after they have taken some DC kids from us lately.

I don't have any YouTube video of him handy, but if you know of any footage please post.

"Devin Booker has committed to GMU. Booker is an elite athlete who can defend and is only scratching the surface on what he can be on the offensive end"

He have other offers?

Half the A10, although the SLU offer was probably with Ford. His top 3 were all A10
Schools (Duquesne, La Salle, and Mason).

Virginia Tech and Mississippi State also offered him pretty early (but maybe backed off? Who knows with these things).

Temple also offered him, but given where they are right now I don’t know how much cachet that still holds.

Edit: maybe not on SLU. Says that offer came in over this summer. So must have been the new staff.

The article says he transferred from Imhotep Charter to Cristo Rey. Imhotep is a Philly national powerhouse. They play one of the toughest schedules in the country(IMG, Montevideo, Oak Hill, etc.) and have produced alot of high level Power 5 players.

Its basically like signing a kid out of Dematha or Paul VI.

Great sign!

Trivia question: Name the former Patriot who played at Imhotep Charter?
