Yeah, I don't start rooting for Luke or Coach L until GMU's been knocked out of contention.

I am curious to see if Luke plays professionally or eventually goes into coaching. He would make a great assistant for someone.

It was pretty obvious that Lville was elite last year. This year they miss Siva and Dieng a lot. But they are still on the cusp of being a threat again this year.

Pshaw. If there's one thing GMU can do, it's run the table against all odds in a tournament.

Sure, path through the A10 tourney. But the only thing we'd be competing against Louisville or Miami for right now is an at-large. And that ship has obviously sailed. No harm pulling for them until the unlikely chance we play them down the road.

Well this is certainly awkward. If GMU makes the NCAAs, what do I care if Louisville or Miami are seeded better than them? Best of luck to them both.

Luke went for 16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals against USF. At one point the commentator said, "you can't [luke caught a pass], leave Hancock [luke shot a three], that open [the shot swished], or he will kill you."

It was poetry in motion.

Later Luke tomahawked a dunk on some 6 10" guy and then mean mugged him. Look it up.

I know it makes me petty, but every time I see posts like this, I want to punch somebody in the face.

Just so absolutely unnecessary the way everything went down.
I think it would have taken an additional half million a year to keep coach L. It was kind of necessary because we can't really afford that at this time. Blame vcu for how this all shook out. They offered Shaka Smart double coach L's salary after what I believe was his second year as a D1 coach. I'd be kind of pissed too. It'd be like the new cocky guy out of college gets hired at work and you find out that he makes double your pay even though you accomplish/know 10x more than him. Coach L was gone the moment that happened.

Sorry, but gonna have to call BS on this one.

I'm not trying to re-hash the whole mess for the 4,748,962nd time, but this was not a lack of money problem. It was a lack of willingness to spend that much money on a basketball coach.

I don't think that was a particularly wise decision. Others obviously disagree. But I'm not buying any attempt to "cry poor" when we've spent about a billion dollars remaking the campus over the past decade. Sorry, I just don't want to hear it.

Speaking of former Patriots, I noticed that Jonathan Arledge is no longer listed on the roster on gomason.com - see http://www.gomason.com/SportSelect.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=25200&SPID=80389&SPSID=606518&DB_OEM_ID=25200. So, I guess that he has officially left the program.

Verbal commits has had him listed as transferring for quite awhile.

And as for Coach L's jealousy all he had to do to remain too dog in the CAA was to beat vcu in the semifinal in 2011 and kept them out of the tournament.
