How 'bout when Mason hits 67 points... well... you know what comes next.
I am almost afraid to ask....

OK wait. If you guys are really us, what number are we thinking of?
Very long lines for the few concessions stands that were open, but not much of a line for the pregame buffet Gold room a half-hour before tip. Crowded in the Gold Room but not that many without a high-top table or folding chair to sit on.Heard it was a good scene today. Maybe GMU needs to play more regional teams with a nostalgic connection.
Hey, don’t love the other fans but if they want to contribute to our revenue stream I don’t think we’re in a position to turn them downHeard it was a good scene today. Maybe GMU needs to play more regional teams with a nostalgic connection.
Continue playing well and expect 6k and more for odu, especially with the final four reunion.Since I don’t see that anyone else posted it yet: announced attendance was 5,262. Was hoping for at least 6,000 but that’s certainly pointed in the right direction.
ticket office should know how many tickets have been sold and that information should be inform the vendor/concessionaires statusOK, if Mason was aware enough about demand being higher for this game that they raised ticket prices in the lower bowl, then they should have been prepared for the crowd and had a suitable number of concession stations open. The lines were ridiculous.
Why can't they understand that fan experience begins with parking access/cost (score - excellent), then goes to getting into the building, and to seats (score - average), then to what you see on the court (score - pretty darn good), then distractions/games on the court during play breaks (score - below average), and importantly, concessions (score - abysmal). If they want more folks to come back, they need to focus on the entire experience.
Some ideas:
1) Have a set threshold that dictates how many concession stands will be open by projected attendance.
(you can also expedite things by limiting the offerings at certain stands)
2) Move the doggone Ben & Jerry's stand so that it doesn't constrict access at the south portal which is always congested. And move the kids basketball goals to a less congested area.
3) Solicit vendors to open other food offerings in the smaller kiosks.
4) Go back to dropping movie tickets or popcorn or anything from the catwalks or from a blimp (how can we not have a blimp or some other flying ad)
5) Come up with some other games for folks to play on the court (the current games are just stupid) and you have to have a student shooting for money every game. This isn't that hard, just steal ideas from minor or major league games.
Minimum donation is 7500 I believe.View attachment 2869
I saw this yesterday at the JMU game. It says to visit the South Concourse ticket booth for more info.
-Exclusive dinner with Tony Skinn
-Invite to team practices
-Exclusive branded Coaches Circle gear
-Priority access to road game tickets
Anyone sign up for this?
