For the first time in a long time I'll disagree. Allenspach's numbers will look good in the box score but he's ineffective on all counts and as tough as a sheet of TP. Booker and Ellington contributed when it didn't matter. Skinn has made it clear that we lack toughness and that we only get it from a few guys every night, and it's never the same guys. We're lost. And while I like Tony, this all falls on him. By now every freaking coach has a set rotation, we're still searching, thus the results of late. I love Mason but won't be blind to the truth.

Tony is far from a finished product. He's had a rough 2nd half, he'll learn and adjust and hopefully it puts the breaks on him bolting. He did already turn down multiple jobs last off season. One which plays in one of the best conferences in the land. So I think he'll figure it out but he's going to have to find some kids a hell of a lot tougher than the ones he's got right now.

Or Tony has to change his style and adapt but either way it's not working now.

Hard to argue with that. He seems like a nice young man but lacks the toughness we need. Be nice 22 hours a day but the two hours you're on the court be tough and aggressive, it doesn't appear to be in his DNA. I had hoped for better.

Protector and can’t guard anyone on the perimeter at all. He seems to have no awareness of when to help or shade a screen either. Just outright bad on that side.

He has some really good post moves and can score one-on-one but gets totally rattled by the double team. He has some tough buckets early, they adjusted to send the double and he crapped his pants over and over again.

And don’t even get me started on Hill or Troutman. Just total lack of effort on defense. Guys going coast to coast on them, bowling them over, or just blowing right past them. And they can’t fight through a screen to save their life.

Long is too passive. With Mincy struggling he needed to take this team over and outside of a couple of halves he just hasn’t stepped up.

The losing sucks. But the poor effort and lack of fight is absolutely demoralizing, really sucks the life out of you as a fan.

What a total letdown this team is.
