Tyne, who killed us at the beginning of the game with 4 3's, set the tone for the game. I'd bet that he wasn't even in our "scout" for the game as he only been averaging ~ 5 pts/game. Wound up scoring all of his 16 pts in the first half.

Alex Williams for Duquesne too. Came in averaging 6.6 a game, dropped 25 on us.

Troutman is a real mystery. He has a 3 game stretch where he scores 41 points and in the next 6 he has scored a total of 10 across all 6 games (on 3-18 shooting). Only explanation is he’s playing hurt too.

I think we are definitely banged up and pressing. Riley has absolute blinders on on D. I watched multiple possessions where he had help side D and ran out to the perimeter for no apparent reason. The creativity on O is gone too. Like some have mentioned, we have stopped cutting. We default to 1 on 1 iso ball after a few handoffs at the top of the key. The ball movement is so stagnant the ball prolly thinks its been put back on the rack. I feel like the rotation is almost too deep and that nobody can find a rhythm. I mean shit, Stas finally hit a contested 3 last night and was immediately pulled. Shake it down to 8 MAYBE 9 players and screw feelings. Its crunch time. Ellington seems to always play hard in the post yet he doesn't usually get the same run that Stas gets. I think starting 5 with Mincy likely out should be Long, Hill, Troutman, Singleton, Allenspach w a bench of Kanga, Booker, Presley, and Dola.

I think Coach Skinn based on multiple interviews is a bit too obsessed with finding time for all the players on the roster.

This isn’t a charity. The best lineup needs to play regardless of feelings that gives us the best chance of winning.

No one cares about the NIT sorry. Literally it's not important to anyone other than a team maybe coming off 5 losing seasons. The way they are no longer rebounding I wouldn't even count on the NIT, that may not even be on the table if they keep playing this way. Very hard schedule remaining. These guys want NCAA"s or bust. Maybe he can make it back by Pittsburgh but he was crying in the corner. I think his hand is pretty bad. Injuries really have not been kind to this team this year. Dola Mincy even Fat was hurt to start the year. Clearly O'Connor, and i'm not sure what's Riley's deal but he hasn't seemed the same since GW either.

I also think someone is going to pay him. Hopefully i'm wrong but it's the name of the game. Everyone upgrades.

To start with CTS needs to change the starting lineup. Enough with Sivka starting. He adds nothing to the team. Replace him with Fatts Hill. They need to recapture their confidence and get scoring and rebounding and doing it early. Please give Kanga a solid 20 minutes. Ellington played hard against Richmond. If Troutman doesnt get his game going then bench him. Play the guys who are busting it on the court and contributing. Regain the confidence that they have lost.
Time to light the fire. Lets Go!

Same! I watched when I got home but just kept fast forwarding 5-10 minute chunks to see if the lead got closer than 20, so only took a few minutes to breeze through whole game.

Spot on with reeling in the playing time amounts for the entire team. 3/4 of the season is done, this is crunch time and you have already seen the make-up of this team and what everyone can and can't do by now - hopefully. Tony is trying to please all 11 active kids and we just can't sustain this type of team and playing styles as we aren't building and maintaining a cohesive group where the team knows everyone's strengths and tendencies. Too many different kids on the floor with too many instances of just spotty times all those can play together outside of the starting 5 - and that's really a stretch since Presley starts and usually only plays 6-7 mins a game total.

Would consistently run 8 guys out and sit the rest.

Booker can sit the remainder of the season, what outstanding skillset is he bringing immediately? He's not an elite player this year. If he gets butt hurt and decides to transfer out next year so be it. Can replace him right away with portal guys.

Dola can sit as well. Doesn't bring much and doesn't really hustle all game.

Now throw in BOC whom may or may not be coming back this year.... so possibly add another person to throw in to our lineups.

Booker is going to wind up getting even more minutes if Mincy is out (caveat: BOC does wind up coming back very soon).

With Mincy out our guard situation goes Long, Troutman, Hill, Mincy, Skinn. We all know Skinn isn’t going to play so that leaves 4 guards to play 120 minutes a game. No way can Long, Troutman and Hill play 120 minutes a game combined and still have legs at the end of games. And this makes it even worse if you eliminate all the depth at the 4 spot (sitting Sivka and Adebayo).

Edit: I did forget Presley, which is understandable it’s not like he announces his presence when he’s in the lineup.

The NIT isn’t what it was in 2009 when we lost to Penn St on a buzzer beater. Now it’s a bunch of teams like Samford or North Alabama.
