Shouldn't be this close at home, coming off a crappy loss.

Can someone step up consistently outside of Riley, Long and Mincy!?

Troutman needs to sit.

I was there! Great game! Sat in 107 where my brother sits. I will say it's a bit difficult to hear stuff there. Acoustics seem off in the corner sections of the arena.

Loved to see a big Mason win! Will be back for St. Louis.

St. Joe's–
• 22 second-chance pts.
• 20 offensive rebounds
• total rebounds +9

Feels like a loss in many ways, could have easily gone the same way as Duq.

On the positive for Mason–
• Only 8 turnovers (+6)
• Held the Hawks to 52 points
• Overcame Kory Mincy's shooting difficulties
• Dola Adebayo—comeback game???

Fells like a win in many ways, but a bit too close.

Dola can’t disappear again. We desperately need someone to hold down the 4 spot the rest of the way and it’s not Troutman or Presley or Sivka. If Dola can give us that kind of energy for 18-24 minutes a night we might have a chance.

Shout out to stool guy , there had to be 2-2.5k students at the game. Good win, agree with what most said. The starting 5 needs a minor adjustment, take Stas out and put Fatt, Kanaga, or even Adebayo in. Good energy off the bench from everyone. Off nite for Kory but Jahri picked him up. Better help defense tonite except in the post, I don't know why Riley doesn't challenge or help on D. Nice homecoming win.

GIVING DAY 2023
Had an awesome time at the game as expected. I thought the crowd was sleepy for about 75% of the game but finally woke up towards the end when we started getting defensive stops and we started scoring a bit.

Not sure how it worked but throwing the lineup (one of) with Dola Malik Jahari Kanga and Hill ended up being terrific for us down the stretch. I suspect because of how hard they were playing it worked and we were able to get some other guys mixed in but those guys set our tone late defensively. We couldn’t figure out how to defend off there ball screens early but adjusted nicely in the second half our coverages to confuse them.

Hats off to Devin Booker for coming in with energy defensively and just giving us a spark off the bench. His block in the corner was great and while it didn’t go in he had a nice shot from the wing.

Those long rebounds are maddening but many of them were off the constant barrage of 3 point misses especially in half 1. Fortunately in half 2 we corrected positioning and figured out how to limit those bounces.

It was awesome as always to see many familiar faces around in EBA and in the Gold room.

GIVING DAY 2023
Will always take a win but we aren’t playing our best basketball right now, at a time when we should be on our way to peaking. Credit to Tony to adjusting the starting lineup to try to start hotter, but damn he was tweaking rotations all game and throwing out groups that I am certain have not played together all night, and I think we went 11 deep. At this point of the year the rotations should be generally pretty set, small tweaks here and there are needed to give us a spark or address a shortcoming, but Tony seemed all over the place yesterday. Really need to get a few things figured out (rebounding, turnovers, rotations) or I fear we’re gonna be looking at a semifinal ouster in Pittsburgh.
