Conference begins on Thursday night. There is not a return game this season with vcu.

vcu comes in with a 12-3 record, 7-0 at home. They beat ODU back on Dec. 8th at the Siegel Center by the score of 69-48. They lost at Northern Iowa on Dec. 14th by a score of 77-68.

Treveon Graham averages 15.7 ppg/6.5 rpg, Juvonte Reddic averages 11.7 ppg/7.3 rpg, and Melvin Johnson averages 10.7 ppg. vcu averages 75.9 points per game while allowing 64.7. The stats can be found here: http://vcuathletics.com/sports/mbkb/2013-14/files/Cumulatives.pdf

vcu will open the game on a 55 - 0 run and lead at the half 128 - 6. The referees will call the NCAA to discuss what to do in the case of such an epic blowout. NCAA officials will decide that Mason should be awarded a point for getting the ball over the time line in the second half. vcu, feeling sorry for us, pulls random fans out of the stands to play the second half. Final score vcu 186 - Mason 44.

On a serious note we will lose this one by at least 30. We don't have the heart or skill to compete.

From my vcu friends......the attitude down there is they are looking for blood as they want to show us why we don't deserve to be in the same conference. Part of the "we have moved past you mentality."

This is going to be something watching a motivated, well coached team with skills vs one that isnt.

If Mason could actually hold onto the ball, they'd have every chance to win this game. But I suspect we'll see at least 20 turnovers leading to at least 35 points and that might be the margin in this game.

I don't know, but of the two teams, only one of us has a top 50 RPI win and it isn't vcu...

This is not to say that we are any good, because we aren't, but if you think it's because there's a huge skill gap (in the players) between vcu and Mason it isn't. Now if by skilled you meant coaching staff, I whole-heartedly agree with you.

G Mas, besides Allen, Holloway, Jenkins and Gujanicic has a bunch of female genitalia. To include the star who will never have played in a meaningful game while here.

Mason will probably lose this game, which pains me as I hate no other team on earth more than vcu. Their fans are the worst. Completely classless (their band director led a f you chant against Mason). I guess we get the final laugh, as no one I know respects a vcu degree.

The 20 point beat down we gave them 3 years ago in Richmond was great. As was the buzzer beater two years ago.

I honestly see us playing competitively in this game. If vcu is missing 3's they are not a good team. They have no inside presence.

No game plan could help those players on G Mas vs. vcu. They are overmatched. Once/if, he upgrades the roster with more more talent, he'll (they'll) have a chance.

Gemini and PMP are both right. vcu is vastly overrated, but their strength (pressing) is our biggest weakness (turnovers). I would be shocked if we commit less than 20 turnovers and keep this game within 15 points.

I'm assuming this is shtick, but it's a very dumb comment. Teams that are light years ahead of Mason in terms of talent don't lose to teams we beat, or require overtime to beat EKU at home. vcu is the most overrated team in the country.
