GIVING DAY 2023
Following their first home loss of the season and a 13-day layoff for final exams, this is a big test for the women's basketball program. A win over a nationally-ranked Princeton team that earned an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament (out of the Ivy League!) would go a long way to salvage what's been a somewhat disappointing nonconference schedule. The Tigers are currently 34th in the NET, making this solidly a Q2 opportunity with an outside chance to become Q1.

There will be a "Teddy Bear Toss" at halftime to collect stuffed toys to benefit needy families in the area.

Down 7 at the half. Princeton is quicker to the basket and many of our turnovers are unforced.
Walton hasn't got it going yet, so maybe there is some hope, but so far Princeton is playing like a top 25 team and we're not.

I think the ladies have shown signs it’s just been a brutal schedule full of good teams. Princeton, Maryland, ole miss, temple and Murray state are all teams with potential for March. I know we’re 6-6 but I still think they can get hot and play well in A10 play.

Coach giving Za a deeply-felt and much-needed consoling hug. Not something you often see at a post-game press conference.

As good a player as she is, she committed 2 of the fouls in the last 30 seconds of regulation that allowed the Tigers to storm back and send the game into OT. Pretty heartbreaking for someone who plays her heart out for the green and gold.

costly mental lapses on her and a few others - getting beaten back down the court on transition leading to Princeton layups, not getting good shots as the 3o second clock is running down, failure to switch as the offense attacks, players left open for 3's

this was a team failure
1-2 in OT?

Agreed. It certainly wasn't all on Za. First half we were outscored by 9 on pts from turnovers, many on poor passes that turned into easy layups. They also weren't defending well when the Princeton player had beaten the primary defender and wound up getting to the basket without resistance. More a problem in the first 2/3 of the game.
