That was an excellent game by the women - went a little deeper into the bench than vs URI with perfect substitutions.
D held the ticks to ~15 pts less than their lowest point total of the season.
Kennedy with several clutch buckets to ice the game.
Dominated the boards.
Timely 3’s by seemingly everyone that played.
I don’t see any real difference between the 2 and 3 seeds, we are locked into no lower than 3 seed with one more win.
A10 tournament - We’ll be heavy favorite in our quarterfinal game and play Richmond in the semi’s with URI likely waiting in the finals.
Agreed. When would you expect to see a UR-Mason women's game with NEITHER Doogan or Walton getting double digit points?
Mason did a very good job of keeping close to Doogan when she was at the perimeter and doubling her when she had the ball down low, coming up with several steals. Doogan finished with 5 tos.
Walton is still in a shooting slump but played well on defense. Besides Kennedy Harris hitting some key shots, Jada Brown played a very steady game and made some good defensive plays as well as timely hoops.
Gives us some hope that we can compete in the A-10 tournament. In the press conference, one of the reporters mentioned that this Richmond team's NET marked VB-L's best win at Mason!
Felt good to see a Mason team pull one out after a difficult past 10 days on both the men's and women's side.
