Atlantic 10 Tournament Schedule - Capital One Center in 2023?

Not to get ahead of ourselves BUT

prior to the Covid-19 shutdown
the A-10 Tournament Schedule was as shown below

not sure if locations get shifted by a year or if they add another Barclays as the 2026 location

but the stronger we get in conference the more pull we have on pulling the Tourney location towards us (along with Richmond and VCU)
and another reason for the Philly school to get better as then we wont have to pay those NYC hotel prices

Atlantic 10 Tourney
Wednesday, March 9, 2022Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NY
Wednesday, March 8, 2023Capital One Center, Washington, DC
Wednesday, March 6, 2024Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NY
Wednesday, March 5, 2025Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NY

Not sure what site you pulled this from but I saw where dc is 2022 and then Brooklyn for 23 and 24 (possibly 25 but I don’t remember). Obviously I’m biased for a Brooklyn location.

"Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., was previously announced as the host of the 2022 championship."

this one is dated Feb 2019
and has DC in 2022
I wonder if Covid 19 moved everything by a year

Having the tournament in our backyard in year one of the English Era could be huge.

We as a fanbase need to be prepared to show up.

This would be epic - we could pre-game - EARLY - in the area - go to the game, post-game and get an uber home and be in bed by 2AM.

Athletic Department should have some pregame events/activities/pep rallies/meeting places set up in the immediate area near CapOne Center
Georgetown does this every year for the Big East Tournament

and since the Tourney Tix are now general admission
for each session they should set aside the seating behind the teams for that fan base

A little disappointed Blaisedell Arena in Honolulu didn't make this list...

I obviously prefer Capital One since I have lots of free lodging options in the DC area, but given my new location I'd consider it a win if I did NOT plan on attending the conference tournament in favor of saving my vacation time and travel dollars for an NCAA first round appearance shortly thereafter.

The last time the A10 was at Capital One Arena the athletic department/Patriot Club DID have a bar rented out for pre-gaming before the tournament games. (I don't remember the name but it was within a block of the arena.) They gave away T-Shirts, too, IIRC. I only mention this because I agree with you, jessej, but I also want credit given when deserved.

Yeah- my memory is shot but I remember it was a basement, there was dominos pizza and there was a nice little crowd there. Some hole in the wall bar near the arena, haha. I don't think there was that many people there, but considering where the program was, to be expected.

There were like those machines that give out hot food at the movies upstairs and then a downstairs bar. Don't think it was Rocketbar.

All I remember is I ate Shake Shack and an athletics person recognized me and I didn't recognize him, haha.

Some of the furniture from Fado ended up at the Wild Geese Pub in Leesburg ... until a fire a few months ago. Don't know the condition but the owners say they are going to rebuild.
