The High Side is a tiny little bar right on Chainbridge near the intersection of 123 and 236. IIRC, I believe it is owned by a couple of guys who are in the Gold Room on game days. I think one of the owner's is named Andrew. It's a cozy little place, and the appetizers are pretty good from the few times I was there. I think I'm correct here.A four hour window? This must be casual setting.
Great little beer bar, with really good Asian (Taiwanese I think) apps and food. Def worth checking out.The High Side is a tiny little bar right on Chainbridge near the intersection of 123 and 236. Can someone go and represent Masonhoops and ask him about all our topics such as
Sports Hall of Fame and retiring numbers @Pablo - now is your chance bud.
Plans for EBA renovation
Mason Football (why not lol)
Why our scheduling is (mostly) lame
Can @Patriotsince81 fart the fight song at a halftime if Keyshawn Hall makes the NBA
We need someone to be the Masonhoops representative so they can ask this question as well.I won't be there, but I suggest asking about the status of Phase II of the basketball practice facility?

I suggest one of the people who live close by who tell everyone to get their butts in the seats at EBA.We need someone to be the Masonhoops representative so they can ask this question as well.
Man, he looks 25! I gotta ask what he's doing to look that good!!!!
Pre-screened questions filtered into 3 pre-approved topics is VERY FAR away from an "ask me anything".My friend is hosting the event and asked me to share this with the board:

It reads like they're trying to protect themselves from a political protestor grabbing the mic. Should just say all questions welcome, but if you act like an idiot you will be treated as such. This is probably also the reason they don't want it recorded, which sounds kinda weak to me. AMAs are usually posted for the community to see.Pre-screened questions filtered into 3 pre-approved topics is VERY FAR away from an "ask me anything".
I don't know why - I think all of us would love to have our daily routines improve our look and experience. I would guess a lot of good living and plenty of sleep.Sorry that is not on the list of masonhoops.com approved topics
From my interactions with ADML, he's always been straightforward with me, and I've never felt he was just giving me the company line. Thanks for the transparency. It does sound there is thought being put into preventing protestors on the mic since the mayor and chief of police have been part of it before. My friend is moderating the event and wanted to respond to some of the comments. Please see below…
I am one of the moderators (Stephen) for the event and wanted to clarify some points:
- We are soliciting questions ahead of time to help the moderators have available questions to keep the conversation moving in the event people in person don’t feel comfortable asking questions or don’t have more questions for the guest.
- In person questions are 100% welcome and do not have to be pre screened.
- We will also monitor this thread and consider any questions posted.
- This is part of a series of AMAs with local Fairfax City leaders (prior versions had the Mayor and the Chief of Police). The lack of recording is part of the goal of the series to encourage in person interactions.
- Looking forward to hopefully meeting some of you in person at the event!
