we have a good conference....
And right on the verge of regularly having 3+ teams in. If most of the 7 post season teams can build at large quality OOC resumes, then it will dramatically increase the number of quality potential wins in conference games. We are right on the cusp - but sadly it has been that story for the last several years.

Hall of Famer
So a total of 7 teams make it into the postseason:

NCAA: SLU, vcu

NIT: St. Joes, Dayton, GMU, GW, and Davidson
I think both SLU and vcu have a shot at winning their first-round games.

SLU has certainly been vulnerable this past month. Unfortunately, even if they win, they likely will have to play Michigan next. That's the big downside with 8/9 seeds--winner is destined to play one of the best teams in the country (remembering painfully what happened to us when we beat Villanova in 2011 and then faced #1 seed Ohio State in Cleveland in front of an arena that was nearly solid scarlet and grey.

UNC injuries make them vulnerable as well and vcu, despite so many of us rooting against them, has played the best of all the A10 teams in the last 2 months. Might even have a shot at Illinois if they advance.

It certainly helps fortify the A10 argument for multi-bid status if at least one of our teams survives the first round.

NIT
Mason and Dayton are the only A10 teams hosting, with the others playing a long way from home. Still, so much depends on a team's attitude, especially in the NIT games, apparent "upsets" seem rather common.
