By the way I noticed we are back to the number #7 conference in the NET again. The WCC had taken our place for a while. Seems this year our middle is also better with the one outlier of LUC at # 319 in the NET.

They still do. But there’s a big emphasis on offensive efficiency (margin of victory).

However, we are still in it. Have to beat SLU at home and not lose any dumb games and probably make the finals (this would probably also mean beating vcu in the semis most likely and hoping they are a top 50 team) if we expect to be at-large worthy. That would put us at 2-2 in Q1 games and if we avoid any Q3 or 4 losses we should be in the low 40s in NET and somewhere close to 30 wins.

Edit: this scenario has an added bonus of probably knocking vcu out of the tournament. It would be a massive game and payback for last season if this team can pull it off.

The Patriots perennially flirt with a tournament entry but haven't been back to the Dance since reaching the round of 32 in 2011. They're 20-2 and rank 47th on the résumé list, which is prime mid-major bubble territory, but their consensus at-large probability is just 14%. If Saint Louis is effectively a lock, other A-10 teams such as George Mason and vcu must make their cases for the league to get a second bid (which has happened three times in the five years since the pandemic) if they don't win the conference tournament.
