’24 WEEK 87 POWER RANKINGS RELEASED​

After a big conference win over George Mason which puts them in the drivers seat to host the North Atlantic Conference Championship, Coppin State has jumped to the #2 spot in the Week 8 Power Rankings. All eyes are on #6 Michigan State @ #7 Oakland this week to determine who wins the Great Lakes West and the right to face #1 Ohio State in the Great Lakes Championship game.

"All Conference Championship Games will take place during Week 10 of the NCFA Season, on Saturday, November 16th, 2024. All three Conference Championship winners will automatically qualify for the NCFA Playoffs.

"This Saturday, all eyes will be on George Mason and Coppin State as they clash for the NCFA North Atlantic Conference Championship in what promises to be a high-stakes rematch. Let’s rewind to November 1, when these two teams first met: Mason suffered a tough 30-16 loss, plagued by six turnovers and a costly kickoff return touchdown that set them back right out of halftime. Despite the challenges, Mason showed flashes of potential, and now they’re primed to showcase just how much they’ve grown since that first meeting.

George Mason’s bye week brought a mix of rest and resolve. Although they slipped from #4 to #6 in the NCFA Power Rankings, this drop might just be the spark they need to fuel a stronger performance. Coppin State, on the other hand, has surged to #2, riding high with confidence and consistency. But Mason has something else—a hunger for redemption and a shot at the automatic bid to the NCFA National Semi-Finals at the University of Toledo."

This years Playoff weekend will once again take place at the Glass Bowl on the campus of the University of Toledo. The winners of the two playoff games will move on to the 2024 NCFA National Championship Bowl Game.

After upsetting Coppin State in the Mid Atlantic Conference Championship game, George Mason has not only clinched an automatic birth in the NCFA Playoffs, but they have grabbed the #4 spot in the Week 10 Power Rankings.
