Haha - Richmond sucks. They have what I dread Hewitt will become: a coach just good enough to not get fired.

Thompson dominates down low, and we win this.

Reading the doom and gloom on Spider Nation makes me happy. I hate Richmond because I remember what pricks those dudes were when they were in the CAA.

And yet they're still better than that other school in Richmond.

I really want to go to the game at UR -- it's literally a 20-minute drive from my house -- but I think I still have PTSD from some of our hideous losses at the Robins Center when I was in school.

Their old red sweater-vest fans used to be SO annoying when Richmond was good under Dick Tarrant in the late 80s/early 90s.

We never got a call, and no matter how well we played, I'm pretty sure we never won down there.

Hopefully the passage of time and the Robins Center renovation got rid of our bad juju there. A 2-0 start in A-10 play with a home game against UMass upcoming would be pretty damn tasty.

I'm just not seeing it.

Jollay and I will be at the game tonight, amongst others. Get your a** a ticket and come heckle the red sweater vests with us.

I am enjoying their suffering, as well. I hope to revel in it tonight.

I just read that Richmond gave Mooney a 10 year contract after the Sweet 16 appearance. Buyers remorse among Spider Nation.

That off rythym three by Isaiah was impressive. When he shot that after a pause I didn't think there was any chance he would bury it.

Playing pretty well... All I want to say is that if Hewitt manages to turn it around this year, im all for it. I just want to see our program return to being a winning one. If it falls apart again, give him his walking papers.

My god what in the prior 3 years has he shown to make you think he is a competent coach? Even giving the "they re not all his players" excuse.....he has shown NOTHING that says he is a long term answer to this program....

I grant he's getting talent, but I fear its the same story as GT. His teams are only as good as the talent that can overcome his coaching.

Nothing really, all im saying is that IF he manages to roll off a 20 win season, im for it. Let him have his 5th. Its all contingent on winning. The latter half of my statement still stands. Unlike today's political climate, I do believe there is a middle ground. Love how Cabrera and Edwards are sitting right next to the Mason bench.

Is that El Presidente I see sitting mighty close to Hewitt? Hopefully he's doing some work.
