Opponents are shooting 43.6% from the field and 32.3% from 3.

They shoot 75.1% from the free throw line (4th in the A10).

The Spiders have been out rebounded opponents by 0.7 boards per game and average 10.3 turnovers per contest.

Stats: https://richmondspiders.com/documents/2025/11/6/Combined_Stats.pdf

Thoughts: The Spiders owned us during the CAA days when Dick Tarrant was the coach but those days are long gone. We’ve won 7 out of the last 8 against Richmond and hold a 16-8 advantage since the 2012-13 season. We are 5-5 at Richmond during that time.

They are 2nd in the league in 3 point percentage and have 215 makes on the year in comparison to our 118. Advantage Spiders. Mike Walz seems like he has been there forever, one of a long string of guys that seem to have had 20 year college careers. Do they have anyone that can really hurt us? Not on paper.

Go Mason!

Discuss.

The last time Mason played at Richmond was when we became A-10 regular season Champions for the first time in program history! Here are highlights from that game!

Mason won 64-60

Why isn't the AD offering or soliciting for a bus trip to this game?

Must changes for CTS. Start Adebayo instead of Presley. along with Allenspach, Mincy, Long, Ellington. first off the bench E. Kanga, and Fatt Hill. Devin Booker next to sub at guard. I say roll with these eight players.
I ll be there to root our team on, With the schedule getting tougher we must have this game and next against GW.

Adebayo was decent last game, but a** all year. Starting him at this point would be a giant mistake until he shows he understands our offense and defense

I would roll out the last lineup. Richmond is pretty soft upfront. It’s a game Sivka might potentially be successful in.

I’m not sure what’s going on with Troutman but he’s still our best shooter from the wing position.

Starting Allenspach, Ellington, and Adebayo together is crazy sauce.

We've all seen this movie all year. Nothing will change just more of the same. Our storyline:

1. Ice cold slow start
2. We are tied, or trailing, at halftime
3. Dumb turnovers and bad passes
4. Tony takes off jacket
5. Long, Mincy, or Riley saves us with a bucket and FT's at the end

Allow me to interrupt current programming for this announcement...

While watching the Olympics, USA Network had a sports promo for itself, as channels often do, showing all the different sports and leagues it shows on the network. When it got to the A-10, the clip used was of a Fat slam at the PatDome. I think it's cool.
