Didn't deserve to win the way we played. Very poor interior defense and very little help defense. #23 had his way the last 5 min. Yes refs were bad but we were worse on D. Troutman, fatt, Riley and Long were playing ole defense. We can t play D like that again or we are in trouble.

This will either be a Q2 or Q3 loss depending on how Rhody finishes which isn’t the end of the world, but this is not an at-large team. They aren’t going to win the games they need to to get in. It’s go 3-0 in Pittsburgh or NIT I think.

I thought the refs made questionable calls both ways. Ellington went to the line on a bad call against URI.

And he wasn't the only Patriot having trouble handling the ball cleanly. We didn't lose all of the fumbles, but sure threw us off. Very disjointed offense most of the day.

I hope this was the wake-up call we needed, because we can’t afford to sleep walk through games and expect to win — especially on the road. Riley had an uncharacteristically dreadful game, but others needed to step up.

It will be coaching malpractice if Tony continues to roll out the same starting lineup moving forward. We we’re 6-0 in conference play in spite of that lineup, not because of it.

I still love this team. Tony just needs to make adjustments to make sure we’re not digging out of a hole every game. Whether that’s changing the lineup, pre-game meal or routine prior to tip-off is why he gets paid so much to figure it out.

Especially in this new era in which the P4 has so many advantages. Margin for error is so slim.
