Up to an 11 seed as an AQ - which would put us on the bubble (or at least close to it). Just gotta keep doing what we are doing and get some Q1 wins (@ vcu, vs SLU, and hopefully at GW if they can string some wins together).

SLU now up to 7 seed.

  • "State of the bubble: 'First Four Out' UCLA's tight 69-67 win over Purdue on Tuesday night was enough to put the Bruins back in the projected field; it helped that a spot became available when Saint Louis won its Tuesday night game to retake the Atlantic 10's automatic qualifying spot from George Mason."

GIVING DAY 2023
It’s like @GMUgemini points out. There’s one team good enough for an at-large and could get two in if that team fails to win the A10 tourney. But there aren’t two at-large teams, which is what I consider to be a “two bid league”.
Then our definitions differ. AQ plus a second bid is two teams in. Two bid.

Since we have established St Louis is an At Large. Beating them at home and having numbers in the 40's would certainly put Mason right there and more than Likely give them A10 regular season. 28-3. I'm not sure why everyone is being so stubborn on the fact that it 'COULD' Happen. 2 decades of losing has a way of doing that I suppose! What percentage of winning out at home is likely a different question ? I put that as much more likely than not slipping up on the road though. Beat vcu on the Road and I think every bracketology out there puts them in. Too much of the season left to really say one way or another but again i'll say it again. The path is still there, win the games and get in. Lose the games and it really doesn't matter anyway seeing as how you have to win no matter what. Maybe there is just a very small margin of error vs the past but there's still a path. So lets just keep winning! Winning will have a way of working itself out.

Yep, and Indiana was 100-1 to win the Natty. Win enough and you're in.

I generally think it will take us to be somewhere 28-30 wins for us to get the at large bid. Which means winning 10+ conf games with 13 left. We also need a few large wins to help our cause.

Long way to go. Next step is focusing on beating URI in Kingston.

Can someone find a person on the committee maybe two with very questionable personal lives that could be influenced with "photos" that may or may not be worth something?

Welp this debate is done. The path for at large is now closed! AQ or bust! Sucks that you have to be nearly perfect but just the way it works with power 4 dominating sports.

It’s always been that way but “being perfect” now means blowing bad teams out instead of just beating them.
