Just read the interview with Barron on Giantkiller. So has he be unofficially committed since his official visit or did he do some type of visit recently?

Nice interview. I hadn't realized he was a sharpshooter and had range. I assumed given his size he was more of a physical mid-range guard/wing.

Seems like this kid gets it and understand where he needs to be coming in to college. Had no idea about his wrist.

Yeah he hurt it during the state tournament last year. Played through the injury too, although as expected it affected his shooting. Seems to be about the right stuff and exactly the kind of young man we want in the program.

I’d be salty if he had ended up at another A-10 school, but find it hard to begrudge him taking an opportunity to play for the coaches who recruited him in a much much much better league.

Sometimes you just gotta shoot your shot.
With the players Providence has returning and the jump in level I’m not sure Barron will touch the floor, leading to entering the portal this time next year. Book it.

That was more of what I was saying and that we end of doing great things. I totally understand him taking a shot.

During the homecoming game that Barron attended, I was looking over at him every now and then through out the game. The guy had no emotion. Even in a close game that was decided in the last minute, he just sat there almost expressionless. Didn’t ever see him clap or cheer for Mason. I just thought that was kind of odd. Maybe that’s just his personality… no BS kind of personality.

Can’t blame him for following the staff. Glad Mason was able to foot the bill for recruiting the kid to Providence.

Looks like his personality from his highlights. Hope we can get some more good transfer/recruiting news soon.
