George Mason track and field will host the Atlantic 10 men’s and women’s outdoor track and field conference championships, May 2-3, at George Mason Stadium, the league office announce on Tuesday.
In the Patriots first season in the Atlantic 10, the women’s track and field team took home both the indoor and outdoor conference titles, while the men finished second at both meets.
"We are very excited to have the opportunity to bring the A-10 outdoor track and field championships to Mason next spring,” head coach Andrew Gerard said. “First, it will be a great chance for our student-athletes to be able to showcase their hard work at a championship meet in front of a Patriot crowd. We had an excellent first year in the A10 and we're really pleased to bring some of that excitement home.”
