Technically nothing is really "official" yet, all anyone is going on is an instagram post. Maybe Mayimba was feeling down and was just ranting from the last year. If it was official I'm sure there would be some sort of press release.
LOL

Atleast Kansas is communicating about the issue. Mason has said zippy. Mason cleared Therance to attend classes, so they should at the least address that.
I've been way too busy to read this thread. Any update on when Therence will be suiting up for us this season. I'm assuming it's just a formality, right?
He's transferring to vcu and will eligible immediately
...and when there is an announcement? what then?
Then it will be the first announcement. Hopefully it's transparent and clearly details why this kid can't play and or when and where he could play in the future etc.
Maybe not where, but that he could play again somewhere. OR a sign that mason/ncaa didnt obliterate his dreams.
If they can report Curtis Mcants pulled a knife on fellow students they can tell us Therance took an English class at his aunts house in Gabon and ncaa ruled he cant qualify as a college player, ever etc. My big picture problem.... unc and others are within the rules in allowing their ball players to, amongst other things, register for 2nd semester classes that are never attended by those going to the nba. UK's 'one and done's' have never attended a second semester class. But the ncaa wont talk about that.
Jim,
I agree that are many questions that should be answered regarding Therances' journey thru Mason. I just think Mason should be the one shedding some light on this situation. Why is Kansas talking about their situation with their african recruit? Otherwise, as an Alum, I'm wondering if our school is incompetent in its admissions process and handling of special situations. Furthermore, if they fought for Therance, that should be illustrated as well. Let the community know you stood up for the student you granted admission too. In other words, show me you had some balls and tried to stick them in the ncaa's mouth.
Why is Kansas talking about their situation with their african recruit?
Can we get over the fact that we don't have the coverage and demand for information as much as a place like Kansas does .......
So is he leaving the team?
Is sitting out this year guarantee him eligibility next year?
sorry if I've missed all the next steps here
