They’re doing the same thing with spring football. NCAA trying more and more to mimic professional leagues without themselves being a professional league.

This, by the way, is also a larger bad trend among sports leagues trying to squeeze more games into the calendar year so their athletes have little to no time to recover. It’s not good.
