• THANK YOU DONORS!!
I'd like to personally thank everyone that participated in our first donor drive in years! We raised over double the amount that we set as a goal. You guys are awesome! This money helps to fuel much needed upgrades around here - and also includes monthly server costs and software licenses. We are excited for the future and your donations ensure that there will be a place to talk about George Mason basketball (among other things) for seasons to come! - The Management

Just looking on several rosters I am not seeing a ton of kids this actually effects. Seems like a no brainer for me. I am counting 5 total red shirts throughout the A10...
Is that scholarship guys who haven't played at all, or declared redshirts? Lots of teams don't declare redshirts during the season because there's really no point.

Declared red shirts/folks that haven’t played I didn’t think you could not declare a red shirt if they were on scholarship.

For instance Paulsens BBW porn infatuated community college 25 year old sophomore is now the 7th man on Lasalle since half their roster has left/Covid. He was one I counted as he was supposed to red shirt and they played him out of necessity

There is a Duquense player (I forget him name) that this would help.

This could be a request to help get A10 WBB back on the court as much or more than MBB.

This would have helped us Jordan Miller’s freshman year where his first game he played was around the first week of January out of necessity.

Redshirts are applied for after the season. If you plan on redshirting a guy you just hold him out and there's no imperative to announce or designate during the season. It's confusing, but basically any scholarship guy that hasn't played yet would be eligible.

First, the redshirt rule also applies to players who are not on scholarship.

Secondly, D-1 basketball players who are redshirting can play up to 4 games without losing a season of eligibility under the current rule - https://www.theburningofrome.com/trending/what-is-the-redshirt-rule-for-college-basketball/

"What is the redshirt rule for college basketball?
The legislation is similar to regulations approved in college football which allows players being redshirted to participate in as many as four games during the season without squandering a year of eligibility."

lnterestingly, Joel Kabimba has played in 4 games this season.
