Sherrod Wright is often unappreciated in my opinion. He single handedly got us back in this game. Scoring, rebounding, defense, taking charges, drawing fouls. He just said F it and completely asserted his will and gave us a chance to win this game. Does he have faults? Of course, but I really enjoy watching him play when he is on. Even though we lost, I saw a great display of heart, talent and execution by an outstanding Basketball player.

He really is a baller and plays with passion. One of the all-time Mason greats.

With 27 points tonight, Sherrod currently has 1,212 career points and passed Steve Smith (1,192 points) for 22nd place in career scoring at Mason. Sherrod needs 288 points to become the 13th Mason men's basketball player with 1,500 career points.

Sherrod has definitely started slower this year from last perhaps because of minor injury and/or trying to let other guys take over. maybe he got a knock on the head from Hewitt who said, 'i know i've been praising all these other dudes...but you're our best player, remember? Act like it"
