Last time....

...we lost 4 straight during the season was the end of the '97-98 year when Mason lost their final 5 games (and then lost their first 2 the next season as well).

We've done it TWICE this year.

Last time we started a conference season 0-4? 1994-95 (started 0-6 before defeating Richmond on the way to 2-12 in conference)

Most consecutive losses to open a conference season? 1992-93 under Ernie Nestor. 0-10 in the CAA before beating UNCW at home and then AU on the road back to back. Finished 2-11 in conference play. (some quirk in the schedule, we didn't play @ UR that year. Snowed out? anyone from back then remember why?)

Could be a lot worse.

That's the point.
Actually.... It is looking like we are on track to be worse then all those records, according to your first post... Lost 4 straight twice already.. Starting conference 0-4 is almost to the 0-6 record... And if we do that... We might even lose straight out.. That would be worse then all those other individual bad records because it would all be combined in 1 season. Uggh...

There is no way (unless they lose out) this team is as bad as those Ernie Nestor teams in the early 90's. Or the Westhead team that dropped 11 straight. Those teams weren't even IN the games they played.

If we don't beat Fordham, we could conceivably go 0-fer in the A-10.

Not saying it's going to happen -- we're bound to get one somewhere along the line -- but even typing those words nearly made me vomit all over my laptop.

Even pre-brain tumor Johnnie Cochran would've had a hard time defending that.

No offense, but boo to this thread. This should be bottled up in the hate thread.

I am really hoping we're laughing at all of these doom and gloom threads a year from now (if not two months from now...)

We laugh (and still cringe from PTSD) about living through those teams. Same thing applies.
