Typically when a college changes its logo, there is an increase in the sale of t-shirts and such. Some have said that they will never buy anything with GMTM on it. I am curious if that has changed.
I saw some old stuff at the Wegmans near Fairfax Corner within the last week or twoI was just curious if they are still trying to unload old stuff at a discount, anybody been to the bookstore lately? Would buy discount old stuff maybe
Of course I wouldn't buy any of that new stuff especially at their regular prices
I'm sure I'll end up wearing some free swag in the future, but mostly to support the McKay logo on the back after a cheerleader throws it to me.I'm willing to give it a second look, but have no plans of purchasing at the moment. If I can score some swag at homecoming I may consider wearing it for free.
I would do that, too, but they haven't thrown out a shirt that can fit me in years.I'm sure I'll end up wearing some free swag in the future, but mostly to support the McKay logo on the back after a cheerleader throws it to me.
Safe from trademark infringement at leastI am still trying to understand what makes this new logo "safe."
Didn't know someone was talking a poll. Anyway, I'll buy something when I see it if I like it, and liking it has mostly to do with the item, not the logo.Sheesh, these poll numbers are kind of concerning. I know its a small sample size but members on the boards are some of the biggest supporters of the University and a heavy majority aren't purchasing anything. I'd have to imagine the numbers are even worst with fair weather fans and alumni.
Curious to know how much Mason makes from licensing/merchandise. I briefly looked at Mason's financial reports and didn't see anything. It probably rolls into "Other Income" with along with a bunch of other shit. But I would guess licensing/merchandise sales would not be material enough for them to ditch the logo.
I'd buy if it was put together.I actually looked through the online bookstore for a new polo for this season and was surprised at how limited the choices were. Couldn’t find anything I thought I would actually wear, logo aside. I wish we’d do another Adidas run like we did a couple of years ago, which ended up being surprisingly successful IIRC.
