Its obviously not that big of a deal because many schools do this type of game on their schedule.

I don’t think this is by choice. The P4/5 of however many conferences have circled the wagons and shortened their OOC schedules and it’s just not worth it to go on the road and lose to other teams of similar level (see: losing to ECU, which will do us no favors).

I'm with you but ECU is in the AAC which is outside of the P4/P5. That was also a home/home which I think having home and homes with the AAC is a good thing. I get your overall point though. Better to take a scrimmage against a D3 program at home than another buy game check against a top 25 team that will beat you down by 30. 1 of those is enough. In addition its not just Power 4/5 schools doing a D3 game, plenty of A10 schools do it, amongst other programs.

I'll save my general rant on scheduling for the off season on where I think Mason needs to improve, lol.

Matt is absolutely right - other schools schedules are riddled with non-D1 opponents, and a lot of them have more than 1.

I would also imagine the purchase price is a lot lower for Ferrum vs Coppin St.

Nothing to be learned from a day like today. Nice to see another home win so I'll take that. I have given up any and all hope that our crowd will ever support the team in the way it deserves to be supported. The students and alumni are lame.

I think what we know about this team is they can dominate against teams who are smaller and less athletic and it struggles against teams who can match them physically. They have to fix part two because they aren’t going to get a bunch of undersized u athletic teams in conference play.

Fans may have learned (at least this one) that Quigley has been dropped from being considered for more time at pg. Only got in the game in the last 5 minutes when the walk-ons went in.

Beggs doesn't look like the solution at pg but at least in general we cut down turnovers (and very few shoe tying moments!).

I had to miss today's game due a family obligation, but never got a "gametime info" email from the Patriot Club. Hopefully they still did a full spread in the Gold Room otherwise the person I gave my tickets and passes to might be a bit disappointed...

Thursday, I got an email from Georgetown Basketball offering $5 tix for the next 3 game as those games are against opponents that no one will want to watch - St. Francis, Coppin State, and Wagner.

This should have been a $5 game
