When I think of St. Francis (PA), I think of the one, the only, supremely talented Nicola Mirich.

I say we go with the same lineup against St. F that we did against UNI. We had good flow, and then it would let BA and JA get some more rest. They'll be key guys for the A10 schedule and we don't need them to beat these guys.

My kids got BA's autograph at the post game player table. Someone asked him when he would return. He said he would be back for Saturdays game. Seems safe to assume he is out for this one.

I'm fine with that. We're going to need him against Iona. No sense in risking further injury right now. Besides, it'll give Holloway and Gray more minutes with the first-team, which will only pay dividends later.

I've never heard of these jerks... I'm afraid our boys are gonna do bad :(

Sagarin and rpiforecast (http://www.rpiforecast.com/teams/George Mason.html) has Mason as an 18 pt favorite. According to the latter, that's the biggest point spread for us this season. We're currently 14 point underdogs against vcu.

Pretty early in the season--I would expect some adjustments as some teams (maybe us!) start playing better than initially predicted.

GIVING DAY 2023
Hopefully we take care of St. Francis (PA) pretty easily. Maybe, just maybe, we wont have a nail-biter at home within the last few minutes of the game.
I'd like to see: more of the same (rebounding, made FT's, aggressiveness on both ends).

GMU: 78
St. Francis: 63

Not to look ahead or anything (even though I am). The following six games starting with Iona and ending with Iowa State are going to be the true tests for this team. If we can go 3-3 or 4-2 in those games I would be impressed.
Wins: Princeton, Rhode Island, South Florida, Oklahoma
Losses: Iona, Iowa State

Being 8-2 or 7-3 after that stretch would be pretty solid in my opinion.

Helluva stretch. I could see us winning all of those games, along with losing all of them at the same time. I think the only game I'm confident in is URI, other than that, it'll be a coin flip.

FAIRFAX, VA. FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) _ Nate Langley's 3-point shot with 11.8 seconds left completed George Mason's incredible comeback from a 29-point deficit and gave the Patriots a 96-95 victory over St. Francis (PA) Friday night.

Langley scored 22 of his 29 points in the second half as George Mason (5-2) rebounded from a 77-48 hole with 12 minutes left to play in the contest.

St. Francis (2-5) scored just four field goals in those final dozen minutes against a trapping Patriot defense that forced 26 turnovers in the game.

The wild game featured 10 players scoring in double figures and three technical fouls in the second half, including the ejection of Patriot center Michael Sharp after a flagrant foul.

St. Francis, which scored just 42 points in a loss Wednesday at Pittsburgh, led 42-40 at the half and had six players score in double figures _ Eric Taylor (20), Sotiris Aggelou (17), Walt DeVan (16), Jeff Churchhill (14), Terrence Martin (13) and John McLean (12).

George Mason center George Redd finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

DeVan gave the Red Flash a two-point lead with 25.5 seconds remaining by hitting a free throw.

After a timeout, Langley banked in a fall-away 3-pointer for the game winner.

This was also the same year Langley and the Patriots somehow beat Colorado at the Patriot Center 85-81 when they had some guy named Billups.
