Due to the blizzard in the Northeast St. Bonaventure’s game against Rhode Island was postponed until Thursday the 26th at 5PM. Update to come.

First meeting this year:
This game is a hard one to forget. We beat the Bonnies 77-73 at Reilly Center on January 31. We trailed by 8 at the half and by as much as 14 in the 2nd half. We were down 9 with 5 minutes to go in the game yet managed to pull out the win. Kory Mincy had 22, Jahari Long had 13, and Fatt Hill gave us a stellar thirty minutes and 16 points off the bench. We won despite committing 16 turnovers. Frank Mitchell led St. Bonaventure with 25 points. Dasonte Bowen (14), Cayden Charles (13), and Darryl Simmons II (10) also had solid games for the Bonnies. Did we pull it out with clutch play or did they choke? Maybe a bit of both.

Thoughts: The Bonnies are currently 13th in the league and come to Fairfax having lost 5 of their last 6 games. When you look at them statistically they should have a much better record.

This is probably our best shot at a win in the remaining games. We will most likely be underdogs at vcu and in the home finale against St. Louis. We really need this one to avoid a lousy finish.

Frank Mitchell is a beast on both ends. He’s 4th in scoring and 1st in rebounding. Containing him will go a long way toward helping us get a W. Simmons II is 2nd in scoring so we’re dealing with a legit two-headed monster. Dasonte Bowen is 1st in assist to turnover ratio and 4th overall in assists averaging 4.9 per contest.

Hoping we have a good crowd and the team shows up ready to compete. Go Mason! Oh, who the HELL am I kidding? We lose.

Discuss.

Excited that Ill be in Maryland so I can bet against us to cover.

Hopefully I can put in future bets that we will lose rest of the regular season games… because we will and then we will lose on Thursday in Pittsburgh.
