BINGO! It doesn't have to be the havoc of yore to still cause havoc. I guess my point in bringing it up now is we can't just roll out a new starting lineup against vcu in three weeks and expect miracles. I'm sure we've had all combinations of lineups on the court together at some point during games, but it's much different starting a game in a hostile environment in the hood.
I think they have a good chance to win at Davidson. I see Davidson is 10-1 at home, only loss to St. Joseph's. I gave their schedule a quick glance though- it doesn't look like they've beaten anyone in the top 100. I guess GW scares me more due to how the first GW game went.I've already been happily proved wrong with them on the road vs Dayton and Saint Bonnie but not expecting a W on the road at all. Losing this one and losing @ GW wouldn't surprise me and if they could split the next 2 road games,
I think we are vulnerable to any full-court press regardless of who is bringing the ball up, but I do think O'Connor is the most likely to get trapped, pick up his dribble or throw an errant pass. The key is giving him another ballhandler not named Maddox to help break the press and get us into our half-court offense.

I think we save our secret weapons for the conference tourney. For this one we just need someone, hopefully a couple someone's to shoot over Davidson's zone.
Actually, it occurred in a CAA tournament (semi-final?) which we lost to Hofstra. Almost cost us a NCAA tournament bid and with Tony's suspension, it was looking like it would torpedo our chances against Michigan St. in a first-round game.

Absolutely. We need two games a season with vcu. Why are we playing Rhode Island twice every year? We already get two with GW and Richmond, the other schools near us. Why not the team that we have the most history with?
One condition though. The vcu game at EBA would have to be the last game of the season. The combination of stale fry oil, garbage, diesel fuel, BO, yeast infections, and Axe cologne to cover it all up leaves a lingering stench that takes months to clear out of an arena.
