URI would be crazy not to throw a zone at us and see how hot or cold we are shooting.

Langevine is a lot more athletic than either of Davidson’s bigs, so he might give us fits.

Still, if we play solid defense like we have been, a road win is possible.

I don't understand why, other than Syracuse, most programs don't play more zone. I thought Davidson got out of the zone too early. We didnt shoot them out of it. I know its more difficult to rebound out of the zone, but a lot kids don't box out anyway. I'd take my chances against us and stay in a zone until we prove we can make shots.

URI rarely if ever played a zone in the previous six seasons as Coach Hurley did not believe in it. New first year Coach Cox, who was an assistant for several years under Hurley, is more open to it. He uncharacteristically employed it in the game at St Louis this past Sunday.

John Cheney, the dude at Temple who always looked like he had just gone on a three-day bender.

I see it a lot, just rarely as a primary defense. Even at the HS level.

Anyhow, I hope we beat Rhode Island. Such a tiny f**king little state, I regard it in much the same way the Nazis regarded Belgium, though with some minor differences.

Most teams don’t have the right personnel to play zone effectively and thus suck at it. You wind up hoping the opponent misses a bunch of wide-open 3s. Hope isn’t a plan.

I've been, back when Hewitt was Coach and when they sucked. Sat next to Anali Okoloji's dad and sister. We won.

URI is in the middle of a forest and nothing much around. I drove around for 30 minutes trying to find ANY restaurant/bar and didn't find jack shit. GPS sent me to a bar that was closed. Having no bar options close to campus is madness and weird. I ban that campus to hell. Don't pass go, don't collect $200....straight to hell.

This is not the URI of the past couple years. Dowtin will get his at home, need to limit the other 2 players and not have them go off on us. Our 3-point game has been Jekyll and Hyde so since we are on the road we get our 3-point shooting back and make over 8 of them.
