Can he keep this going?

Mason is coming off the Diamond Head Classic where the Patriots went to 1-2, wrapping up the tournament with a victory over Saint Mary's. Patrick Holloway averaged 15.3 points per game in the tournament and hit 60.0 percent from three-point range. The sophomore scored a career-high 19 points against Iowa State to open the three-day tournament. Bryon Allen finished the tournament averaging 14.7 ppg, while Jalen Jenkins averaged 5.0 rebounds per game.

Not likely that he can consistently shoot that well. Unfortunately for us we need for him to keep it up in order to be competitive in the a10.

Sherrod Wright is too good of a player to keep putting up single digit points. Some might say the PH performance in Hawaii was an anomaly but so was SW's subpar play.

If SW can be his normal self, we could make a bit of a turnaround.

Who knows.

I imagine other A-10 coaches will just sit defenders on him and Wright and dare anyone else to score.

It's what I would do....

I think Sherrod's slump can be directly attributed to the team not going to a luau in Hawaii.

Seriously, getting Sherrod back to being himself is only going to make Patrick more lethal. And the more teams key on them — which I agree with KA will happen — the more other guys like J2, Marko, Moore and Jenkins will have to step up.

The one bonus to do this, is it leaves more room for Allen and/or Moore to get into the lane (especially if Sherrod and Holloway are on the floor together). Doing that will pull the opposing team's forwards out of the paint as they move to help stop the penetration, and dishing opportunities to the now open forwards down low will become more available. Now, granted it's up to them to finish those opportunities, but they will be there.

If he gets injured, we're screwed, haha. Seriously though, just let him play as much as he's willing.

he shoots the ball so quickly- it's incredible. Not much arch to his shot a lot of the time but i think that is a product of the quick trigger. He also has a great knack for scoring around the basket, those little scoop shots almost always fall.

PH seems to always show up against the bigger opponents so that gives us one guy to count on at least 10 points from in a big game. Other than that, who knows.

I would like to see what he could do with 30 minutes of playing time. Seems like he gets into a nice groove and then has to sit for several minutes.

Best thread I could find to give a shout out to PH without creating a new one.
PH was 4/10 with 10pts. His shooting was a bit off early on, but he definitely had composure when he drained 2 at the end to secure the win.

? - With two years left as the primary scoring guard will Holloway ever get up 17 three point attempts like Anthony did for UR last night? I thought the box was wrong when I saw it.

BTW, Riley Trone holds the Patriot Center and the school record for most 3-pt. FGA's in a game (20) - 11/27/93 vs. Troy State.

And he missed 17 of them....

....after the game, Westhead is quoted in the papers as saying "he took 20? We promised him 25 a game...."
