To go to the NCAA tournament they likely have to finish 1 or 2 not just top 4. The A10 is not strong anymore. Like I said they likely only win 1 of the 2. Sure they can lose both and win every single other game on the year. That's a possibility I suppose. I think we're agreeing outside the statement of we have to beat vcu to be recognised I said that's not what I meant. I'm not even arguing with you. I THINK WE ARE ON THE SAME PAGE HERE!Dude- nobody who is a fan / alum of Mason or associated with the program is expecting and accepting Mason to be mid pack forever. I'm saying that's what "experts" expect out of Mason at this point. I would have been (and many others) would have been gone if that was the expectation of the program. I want the NCAA this year and I will be disappointed if anything less occurs. I have laid out my expectations already in a previous post. If we can't win with this type of roster, I don't know when we will.
Last I checked Mason beat Richmond at home last year and has in the past. I'm not sure why vcu and Richmond specifically are the keys to Mason making the top 4. In the end they have to somehow win 12 games in conference to make the top 4. Doesn't matter which 12 games, that is probably the magic number to be top 4. Yeah I want them to beat vcu too, but that alone isn't going to get them top 4.
I however disagree 100% with the statement that people aren't ok with middle of the pack. I think most fans at Mason actually are 100% ok with middle of the pack, which is fine. It's just not a big sports school. I think most on here would be upset or disappointed though.
