2 scholarships?
hoping for 2 transfers - a C and a PF

Freshman year is tough for most - even without being a scholarship athlete. I hope they can get her/(and all of the incoming freshman) on campus in June and have them adjust and get a "basketball schedule and routine"
I wouldn't disagree although we shouldn't lose sight that both Walton and Harris had outstanding freshman years, with Walton having to play out of position much of the time.
Seriously doubt Sara Blair will be an impactful Freshman even with her size as bigs in women's basketball usually take a long time to develop. Ramiya White is very similar in height and body type to Blair, but White really struggled this year at VT averaging less than 2 points a game while being the Top ranked Center out of Kentucky. I watched VT a lot this year, she struggled a lot to get up and down the court and could only really make lay-ups around the hoop - she only played in 15 games. https://hokiesports.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/player/ramiya-white
The LSU girl, Aalyah Del Rosario, is in the portal after 2 years at LSU.... 6'6 (and similar body type to Blair) and a 5 star McDonalds All-American.... practiced and battled with Reese and Morrow each day.... could only average 2 points a game this year. https://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/player/_/id/5174269/aalyah-del-rosario
LSU fans said good riddance as she just couldn't turn the corner into being a really good player, especially after practicing with some of the best players in the nation and really great coaching.
Angel Reese at UMD only played 15 mins a game and averaged 10 points her Freshman year, and she was a highly touted athletic 5 star recruit.
Just because they have height doesn't mean they are automatically good, especially in year 1.
Even 4 and 5 star bigs take a year or even longer to develop.
Being that size and weight (230lbs), the demands of college are going to hit her hard.... we need to be patient with her.
Having a Suarez style player is really key for success: senior leader, smart, high bball IQ, quick, team player, 3-level scorer and can also defend their team's best player usually. Textbook example of how to develop your players. Losing this type of player is what hurts most.
With 5 babies coming in next year that's a lot to develop, 30-40% of your team is brand new to the college game. Hopefully the SO's and Junior's need to take huge steps forward if we want to keep this success.

I happened to walk out of the arena with Zhen Craft and her family, she was named the MVP of the game, great kid, hope to see some of her games on TV.
Heidi Williams' grandparents sat 2 seats from me. Apparently, her grandfather was an influential and longtime referee in the DC women's HS game. They bought him out of the stands and onto the court for pictures then sat him in the floor seats. After the Women's game Heidi took the empty seat beside me, quiet kid, heading to UMBC.
Christy Winters-Scott broadcast the women's game for Monumental TV, then her, her mother and oldest son sat in the floor seats in front of me and watched her son - from Reston play for the DMV All Stars, he is heading to Michigan State.
