Well, this seals the deal. 100% won't be going this year. Play was bad enough last year, not going to drive an extra half hour to get there.

that's an extra long haul for me from Fairfax County

there is a chance because we have a couple of Maryland guys on the team. I’m not sure how close they live to Bowie or if it’s worth their time etc.

Maddox is literally from Bowie. Everyone else is from that side of MD. Bowie is right at the intersection of 50 and 301, so it might not be that hard for Newton, Billups, or Quigley to get there if their family still lives in those areas because they can all avoid 495 to get there.

I’m thinking now that the university should make a play to take over Kenner. The RAC would be a great place to host it and we would get really good local area recruiting exposure.

Honestly can’t believe Georgetown doesn’t want to host it anymore.

about 1/3rd of the Georgetown Athletic budget goes to Men's BBall. I'd bet that this was a cost issue, starting with liability insurance then rental fees. I doubt if Georgetown BBall has made any money since Ewing took over and they are still on the hook for his salary.

I don't think this is the correct interpretation. I believe McDonough is being renovated this summer, so it's not available.
