Thought I'd get this thread going again for news on our three 2014 commits--Trey Porter, Eric Lockett, and Therence Mayimba--as well as discussion for the last remaining 2014 scholarship spot.

Here is some continued praise for Eric Lockett from Justin Young, the editor-in-chief of Hoopseen. He has been high on Lockett for some time, and covers Georgia recruiting very well.

I've said it before and I believe it still. I think #GeorgeMason signee @Lockett_E12 will win more games in college than any other GA SR.

My guess would be Craig Hodges who was atleast 7 feet tall. He was a stiff who actually quit during a game back in the Westhead years.

I agree - Craig Hodges had a listed height of 7'. But, I believe that he quit (during a game) during the Ernie Nestor era.

Let's not say he was a stiff. He was definitely better and slightly more athletic than other big men we've had. He also won a few games for us on tip-ins at the buzzer and once fell from a third story window at Commonwealth Hall whilst partying, but I digress.

Craig was not a stiff - he was a solid guy. Was his roommate for a couple years after college. Good man.

I remember him coming back to the town house talking about that. Man it seems like yesterday.

What do you call a basketball player that quits in the middle of a game? I don't know the person or situation, but the sound of it isn't good. Why did he quit in the middle of a game?

He and Nestor did not get a long at all. Craig did have a temper so its possible they both pushed each other past the breaking point during that game. But I know Craig and I do have respect for the man.

If I remember right, it was one of the last games of his Senior season (may have also been Ernie's last season as HC) and he was frustrated. Certainly not something I'll make excuses about, I think he'd tell you today that he could have handled it differently.
