I think it’s hilarious they’re pissed the B1G is outspending them and “it’s unfair.” Go tell that to the G5 schools you’ve shut out for decades.

I have what might be a dumb idea. What if local businesses, or even the bookstore, gave customers the option to round up their purchase to support Mason’s NIL collective? It’s a simple, voluntary way for fans and the community to contribute a little at a time, and those small donations could add up over the course of a year.

My only question is does this question on the fee screen come before or after the one where they ask you to round up for St. Jude's, ASPCA, etc.?

Seems like it may be troublesome to find willing vendors that aren't already affiliated with something. But hey, maybe worth a shot.

Task it out to the Sales and Marketing majors as a term project.

great info, but dont see the rest of the A-10 public schools - Richmond?, Rhode Island?
the rest is the A-10 is private and not subject to these disclosure laws? Dayton, Fordham, LaSalle, St Joe's, GWU, Davidson, Loyola-Chicago, St. Louis, Duquesne, St Bonaventure

Richmond is private. So there are only 3 publics--us, vcu , and URI.

URI is listed at $1,108,732

Costco and Target Merchandise reps were like, "Respectfully, because your logo is ugly, we're concerned that no one is going to buy Mason products and we're afraid to lose money."

Found this gem on LI today. Seems what I, and a lot of us, have been preaching about for the past few years (and way longer than this) our school and AD needing to do to be competitive in sports, especially now in the era of NIL, is going after major business and tech companies here in NOVA and establishing a true partnership with our AD/bball programs seems to be turning the corner for the good.

Scroll down to Activity and it's the first post on the left. There's 5 pictures in her post that really says a lot, outside of her amazing write-up on her experience with attending a practice and being around our coaches and team.

Mind you this is on her LI page, not a Facebook post, but a public post for all businesses and C-Levels to see, she is also VERY well connected to these major tech and Fortune 2000 business types of C-levels and many different industries in our region. The types of businesses that join the NVTC and executives she knows... just one of them with a stroke of a pen can seriously change our NIL offerings and piggy bank with one major donation.

This is very positive for our school and athletics department, seems Marvin and his team have understood the mission. 1. Outside of the BOV....Establish a working partnership with Jennifer - seems like she's all onboard with our teams and goals. 2. Seems they are working together now to possibly establishing a business partnership and goals in establishing connections to major businesses and c-levels who have the power to provide major gifts and donations.

The other gentleman listed, GMU alumni Sumeet, is also a CEO of a major IT consulting firm and also on the board of the NVTC...has been around the program and seems all on board to help us in these areas as well as Jennifer.

These 2 are also on the GMU BOV and it's a breath of fresh air to see people like this fighting for our athletics programs and schools within our rich business-centric region.

These are the types of agreements, partnerships, and overall initiatives we must continue to develop and bring in to be competitive in sports and most importantly our flagship sport of basketball. The future looks bright.
