"The Cardinals earned one of the 21 at-large bids into the 64 team field. It is the second time in program history the program has made the dance in at least three consecutive seasons.
The Cardinals, who have collected 20 wins all-time in the NCAA Tournament, will head to Medford, Mass. for the opening weekend. Catholic will take on the third-seed in the pod, Western Connecticut, on Friday, March 6 with the game time TBA. Joining Catholic and West Conn in the four team pod are the hosts Tufts and the four-seed, Penn State-Harrisburg."
"The Cardinals are coming off a run to the Elite Eight last postseason, collecting victories over Franklin & Marshall, Randolph-Macon and Roanoke, before falling to the eventual national champions in Trinity (Conn.). Catholic has never faced any of three teams in the pod in the NCAA Tournament and it will be the Cardinals first ever matchup against the Wolves."
Catholic is coached by former GMU assistant Aaron Kelly.
