Some good baseball being played this year in the a-10.

Would love to see GMU get a regional 2 or 3 seed.
I think you are dreaming - check out the rpi's:

Guess being a 4 seed is more in the cards for the a-10 winner.

1. (7) Auburn^ (SEC) 1. (10) Florida State^ (ACC)
2. Troy (Sun Belt) 2. Alabama (SEC)
3. Northeastern* (CAA) 3. Michigan (Big Ten)
4. George Mason* (A10)

"The Reston, Va., native led the Patriots to a decisive 2-1 series win over Rhode Island to claim the top spot in the A-10 standings for the weekend, going 5-for-10 with six RBI, five runs scored, one home run, three stolen bases and one triple. His highlight performance over the weekend was a 1.000 batting performance in Friday's walk-off win.

Quinn-Irons plated at least two RBI in all four games last week; he led the Patriot squad in slugging (1.333), runs scored (8), triples (1), home runs (3), RBI (11) and stolen bases (6).

Quinn-Irons bat came alive in the team's 16-3 win over Mount St. Mary's last Tuesday, going 4-for-5 with two home runs, five RBI, three runs scored and three stolen bases.

As of today, Quinn-Irons has the most Player of the Week awards this season."

Nice that they get a quality team like UNC on the schedule.

A-10 stubbornly clinging to the regional 4 seed per Baseball America:

Chapel Hill, N.C.
1. (4) North Carolina^* (ACC)
2. Xavier* (Big East)
3. Texas A&M (SEC)
4. George Mason* (A10)

Two weekends to go but the Patriots are looking good for a high seed in the A10 tournament coming up at Capital One Park in Tysons May 20th-24th. If GW wins a few more they may get in too. vcu isn't gonna make it (yay!) and Richmond needs help, so it will be Mason, possibly GW, and lots of out of town schools.

Come out and watch the tournament at a great local venue.

This team can hit - one of the best offensive teams in the nation - and have some really solid starting pitchers, unlike most other years.

Perfect combination to win the A10 tournament and then make some noise in a regional.

They also still bunt and steal a ton of bases :)

"Cassedy pitched six scoreless innings and won his sixth game of the season in his Sunday start to complete the weekend series sweep against Saint Joseph's. The Manassas, Va., native held the Hawks to a .158 opposing batting average, struck out five batters and only allowed three hits.

He won his fourth win in six starts, with the other two being no-decisions."

40 wins could be doable but they have some tough out of conference games with William and Mary (I assume they are good) and UVA still.
Good point on the 40 wins, they are at 32 and have 8 remaining plus the A10 tournament.

W&M is bad this year, rpi of 218, UVA is not as good as usual but still a tough ACC team with an rpi of 72. Our RPI is 103 and URI's is 76 (who we beat 2 out of 3), for reference.

Thanks for the site tip! I had forgotten about WarrenNoland. There is some great stuff on there! CAA seems to be a bit stronger overall as a conference and Northeastern is really cleaning up over there.

40 some wins for GMU would be a fantastic goal to meet. Too bad there isn't a baseball NIT in case they don't pull a tournament title.
