Team Stats:
Ohio averages 74.5 points per game while giving up 88.3.

Opponents shoot 48.0% from the floor and 40.9% from 3.

They shoot 68.3% from the free throw line.

They have been out rebounded by opponents to the tune of 8.8 boards per game and average 12.3 turnovers per contest.

Stats: https://ohiobobcats.com/sports/mbball/stats

Thoughts: Jackson Paveletzke is legit. He is averaging 20.5 ppg on 51.9% from the field and 54.5% from 3. He also leads Ohio in assists. He had 28 points against #12 Louisville. Limit him and our chances of winning go way up.

Don’t just focus on their record. They are solid and should not to be taken lightly. They have played a much tougher schedule than we have, playing Saint Mary’s (KenPom 24) and Louisville (KenPom 9) on the road. Both were 25+ point losses but great experiences nonetheless.

2 All-League performers should give us a good test in our first game away from EBA this season. Mason by 6-8. I hope we put together a solid 40 minutes.

Discuss.

Ahhhh ... such great memories of the old 'Bracketbuster' days.

The powers that be ought to bring those games back. While most of the games were meh, the top five matchups, which you earned by your earlier season play, were great, and positioned you to have a good win on your resume to get into the tourney.

Paveletzke is a real concern, but if Breath is still out that's one of their top interior players gone. Also Evans went from 6-8 to 6-10 on the roster this year... you wonder if he actually grew or there's some usual height list shenaniganry going on there.

Fairly unconcerned, especially if Fatt can go and the depth is added to, but you never know on a neutral ground. Guys need to come prepped and not looking towards what on paper will be much better opponents in either FAU or Loy-Marymount. But I have no doubt this staff will have them ready.

Bethune-Cookman 76 - at Ohio 73

3-pt. FG's:
Bethune-Cookman: 8-15 (53.3%)
Ohio: 2-17 (11.8%)
Jakobi Heady, who had 10-7-6 in Central Michigan’s win at Mason last year, led Bethune with 20 points against Ohio. They have a pretty good squad.
