I refuse to believe that we're going to start out 0-4 in the A10

Mason 68
St Joe's 61

If Mason play the way they did offensively against Davidson, we will win. If we dont and play like the second half of the Bona game we will lose. I say we win this one

Mason - 74
St Joes - 71

Rpiforecast:
  • St. Joe's a 6.8 pt favorite
  • St. Joe's currently ranked 2d among A10 teams (Dayton is first)
  • Mason is predicted to win 4 conference games, but right now is only favored in 1 game (a home game against St. Louis)

They are extremely vulnerable in the paint defensively. Mo Alie-Cox tore them a new butthole down the stretch as vcu overcame a 13-point deficit to win at SJU last week.

You'd think Shevon and Jalen should be able to have a field day, but we don't have Melvin Johnson so Martelli will probably double the post every time and dare us to beat them with 3s.

The problem is figuring out how to guard them. They had Isaiah Miles playing the 5 for most of the second half against vcu and he poured in 31 points, including a bunch of 3s. He has been playing great as a senior.

Then, of course, consider that we will probably have to put Grayer or Abram on Bembry, who is the best overall player in the A-10. As much as I like our kids, I dislike either of those matchups very much.

Another game where we should be able to score a lot, but will have to do so to keep pace with a very good offensive opponent. Should be entertaining -- wish I didn't have to work Wednesday night.

Would be nice if Abram, Grayer and Otis all had good shooting nights at the same time (it's home, guys, no time like the present).

With Marko back, I like our chances on the inside (will be harder to double in the post if we can play the high-low with Marko at the 4).

While the performance against DAV was better, I'm not sure there is any reason to believe it will carry forward to get a win, especially against the Hawks.

The big haired toad comes back to Fairfax. May Moore and Otis unleash the fury on them.

Think St. Joe's will have their way with us. Just too much talent (Bembry/Miles/Brown) for us to play an entire 40 minutes...though I hope I am wrong.

SJU has some impressive wins -- against ODU, Virginia Tech, Richmond, and URI. We always have trouble with these guys (and their annoying wing flapping mascot). Just do not see a win on the horizon...but then again, I'm a pessimist!

If Shevon awakens, and becomes a force we can beat alot people at home. Until then, i will be hibernating under the bed.
