And why did Kennedy only play 20 minutes with no foul trouble?! These are the questions the SID is supposed to anticipate and provide answers to, but there are never any insights in our game recaps. Recaps for all sports basically just state facts from the box scores, been terrible for years.

I agree...suspect that it's a small staff and much of the summary is based on AI.

Skimming through a replay of the game on ESPN+. With about 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter (Mason was down 8 at the time), the announcers showed Kennedy on the bench with a substantial boot on her right shin and mentioned that she just played into the first 4 minutes of the second half. They didn't say what happened; only that Harris' absence perhaps explains why Mason's offense had fallen off in the second half.

Not good if she's out for any length of time. I think Littlejohn (freshman) was handling most of the pg duties with Harris on the bench.

Only mention of Komara that I heard was the announcers indicating late in regulation that she "wasn't available".

Amaotang, another freshman pg, had all her 7 pts during the 4th quarter and was impressive, but fouled out shortly after her mini-run.
