In looking at her bio, Za has only played 3 years, having been inactive her first year due to injury. Yet she participated in Senior Day today. I would think she would have one more year of eligibility. Is there any chance that she returns next year?

Louisville bought one of St. Joe's top 2 players via NIL
Wisconsin bought Howard's best player/MEAC Player of the Year via NIL - Destinee Howell - where she is now the leading scorer on the team
I expect Walton will get a better NIL offer next season and play elsewhere - especially if Coach VBL moves on to a better/richer program and If Walton graduates.

I'm guessing that Walton will be able to graduate this year, given that she's been at Mason for 4 years. But I'm sure you're right about her being a much-sought-after transfer by a major conference school. Not sure of the amount of difference in NIL money from Mason vs P5, especially in that we need to try to keep Harris and Amoateng as well.

I still have hopes that VB-L will stay at Mason, given her ties to the area and what she has built here. But I felt the same about Coach L back in the day.

What works in our favor is that only a limited number of schools offer NIL money to Women's BBall. AllP4 programs offer NIL money to Men's Football and Men's BBall. After that it is a mix of Women's VB, Women's Softball, Women's BBall, and Olympic Level Track Athletes.
Harris may be reluctant to leave if she is just a year out from graduation. But for the same reason, Mary may also be gone as she is a freshman.
