GIVING DAY 2023
last season's conference schedule was released on 9/24
so, we are likely 5 weeks away

i am unsure when the 24-25 OOC schedule was finalized and released

Looked it up - Last year the Full OOC schedule was released on Aug 29

Currently Missing
1) 4 OOC games
2) date for Jacksonville

GIVING DAY 2023
A-10 is the 6th best men's BB conference in the country
above the A-10 are the P4 and Big East

I see these as the only potential suitors for CTS, and CTS will have a lot of competition for those jobs.

I don't see him going to a lower ranked conference or withing the A-10 - except for Dayton and vcu, and I don't see those programs having openings in the next 2 years.
Curry Hick Sage opinion of Skinn leaving Mason.

“Maryland would have been a perfect situation for him, but they obviously went with Buzz Williams and none of the other big gigs in the DC-MD-VA corridor are likely to open this time around. Would Skinn go to Wake, Pitt, or Syracuse (all gigs that could open in 2026)? I'd imagine he'd give a long look to all of them, but in this rev share moment I do think Mason is poised to compete in a way they weren't able to in the early days of NIL and there's a chance that he remains selective. Having said that, the A10 is becoming an increasingly impossible conference for terrific coaches. It's a one or two bid league with as many as eight that are taking basketball as serious or more seriously than Mason (and Mason is taking it quite seriously). Winning is hardly a guarantee so if a Power 4 opportunity comes along this cycle (other than perhaps Boston, all things considered he'd be wise to take it.”

Gee, sure would be nice to have Daytons OOC schedule... maybe one day

"An already challenging non-conference schedule for the Dayton Flyers got even more difficult Wednesday as UD announced a game against the Virginia Cavaliers.

Dayton will play Virginia on Dec. 6 on a neutral court, the Spectrum Center, home of the Charlotte Hornets, in Charlotte, N.C. The game time will be announced at a later date.

With Virginia, of the Atlantic Coast Conference, on the schedule, Dayton now has non-conference games against six programs from the top five conferences. The Flyers also play Cincinnati (Big 12), Marquette (Big East), Georgetown (Big East), Florida State (ACC) and Brigham Young (Big 12) or Miami (ACC).

Dayton also plays Penn State (Big Ten) in an exhibition game in October."

GMU Men's Basketball 2025-2026 Non-Conference schedule (so far)

-New Hampshire at Home Saturday November 15th
-Bethune-Cookman, Jacksonville, Pacific, or Stony Brook at Home
-2025 Sunshine Slam MTE against Florida Atlantic/Ohio/Loyola Marymount (Monday November 24th and Tuesday November 25th)
-JMU at Home
-Siena at Home
-At Virginia Tech Saturday December 6th
-ODU at Home Saturday December 13th
-Loyola Maryland at Home Sunday December 21st
-Penn at Home Sunday December 28th

The game against New Hampshire is on Saturday November 15th per the New Hampshire basketball Instagram @unhmbb

I would guess that GMU schedules 3 games between 11/3 and 11/11
this gives 3 days rest between games
and at this point in the scheduling season, they are likely to be KenPom 200 and higher

11/3 - rest - rest - rest -11/7- rest - rest - rest - 11/11 - rest - rest - rest - 11/15

Props to my alma mater (Penn State) for scheduling the game at New Haven. In addition to Penn State, New Haven's nonconference schedule as it transitions to D-I (NEC) includes games at UConn, Seton Hall, Boston College, Fordham, & Vanderbilt - https://newhavenchargers.com/sports/mens-basketball/schedule
Is there a minimum arena seating requirement for D1 Basketball? If so, is New Haven developing a new arena or contracting with an available arena?

D1 football has an average attendance floor of 15k per game; implying that your stadium must be at least that size
